Designing a scalable, future-ready esports facility concept
International esports company Gfinity procured Ardent Sports to develop the concept and design for a new, world-leading integrated esports facility.
In partnership with design and engineering firm Arup, Ardent Sports undertook a research and benchmarking project exploring the esports and wider sports industries, to develop a concept for a scalable facility for playing, watching, training and broadcasting esports.
The research reviewed existing event locations and sizes, games and event types, player training, academies, and commercial opportunities. This informed the development of a new user-defined, sector-leading concept experience, aligned with a user pathway to futureproof the strategic planning.
