Ardent Sports led the planning, design and project management of Wycombe Wanderers FC’s new First Team training facility, which launched ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
The EFL League One side had relocated to Harlington, west London, during the renovations of the Marlow Road Training Ground, which is just three miles from the club’s Adams Park stadium.
The new training centre was expanded to 1,550 sqm, and includes two new full-size pitches to match the surface at the team’s home ground, as well as a goalkeeper training pitch and dedicated pitch for skills and rehabilitation.
The facility includes state-of-the-art First Team changing rooms with recovery pools, nutrition refuel hub, new strength and conditioning gym with diagnostic equipment, medical facilities overlooking the performance areas, pilates and breathwork room, performance analysis and team meeting rooms and kitchen, dining and relaxation lounges.
Ardent Sports’ role was the client advisor and project manager in full service, from project conception, vision, benchmarking, and functional design development, to client advisor for the construction, handover and operation ready. Working closely with the football and coaching staff to fine tune the facility’s requirements, the Ardent Sports team also managed the procurement of all performance equipment.
